Job Overview
We are seeking a candidate for the Data Enterprise Analyst position that will be based in Montreal/Québec. Primary responsibilities will be to partner with HR, Finance, Business Development, and Operations. This person will automate, integrate, and maintain data flows across key business systems (NetSuite, SuccessFactors, Salesforce, OpenAir). This role ensures enterprise data consistency, compliance, and accessibility through structured governance, automation, and analytics. The analyst enables departments to self-serve insights, supports predictive and operational reporting, and acts as the bridge between business users and technical systems, driving the accuracy and efficiency of data across the organization.
This is a hands-on, operational role responsible for implementing and maintaining integrations, data pipelines, and reporting frameworks. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of systems, data, and process, and brings a structured approach to enterprise data governance. This hybrid position will be located at X-Chem’s offices in Montreal/Ville St-Laurent, QC and will be reporting to Director of Information Technology that is based in Waltham, US.
Key Responsabilities
- Partner with HR, Finance, Business Development, and Operations to translate data and workflow needs into integrated, automated solutions across key enterprise systems (NetSuite, SuccessFactors, Salesforce, OpenAir).
- Configure, maintain, and optimize data flows between systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance, including automation of key processes such as onboarding, financial transactions, and CRM updates.
- Develop and maintain shared data pools, dashboards, and self-service BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) that provide actionable insights into workforce, financial, and operational performance.
- Establish and enforce data governance standards, including access control, retention, and privacy compliance, while documenting data models, lineage, and definitions.
- Collaborate with IT and analytics teams to support advanced analysis, forecasting, and predictive modeling that inform strategic decision-making.
- Continuously improving enterprise data systems by troubleshooting data issues, identifying automation opportunities, and streamlining manual processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in enterprise systems or data operations.
- Familiarity with SaaS platforms such as NetSuite, OpenAir, Salesforce, SuccessFactors.
- Basic understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and workflow automation.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Bilingual (French and English).
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external vendors.
Other Requirements
- Experience in a life sciences or biotech environment.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and native integration tools.
- Familiarity with finance and HR data structures (e.g. payroll, headcount, sales pipeline, etc).
- Exposure to API-based integration and automation frameworks.
- Current work authorization in Canada
The company cooperates with its customers, partners and colleagues outside Quebec for the research and development of medical products based on the identification and optimization of small molecules enabling the development of specific drugs. Interaction with colleagues and partners outside Quebec, notably in Budapest and Waltham, is constant. Consequently, knowledge of English is required for this unique and specialized position. Knowledge of French is required for positions permanently located in Quebec, so that the incumbent can communicate as needed with colleagues, customers and partners in Quebec. French-language training will be offered to any incumbent of a permanent position in Quebec who does not have a good knowledge of French.
